CASE Activities
CASE research includes, but is not limited to, the following kinds of activities:
- The development and use of conceptual and methodological frameworks for investigating the characteristics and consequences of early childhood intervention and family support practices.
- Identification and use of research designs and data analysis strategies for investigating and isolating the key characteristics of effective intervention practices.
- Preparation of practice-based research reviews of empirical studies with an emphasis on the implications of research findings for improving early childhood intervention and family support practices.
- Experimental investigation of promising and innovative early childhood intervention and family support practices.
- Critical analyses of controversial practices, and the empirical evaluation of the benefits and limitations of these practices.
- Identification of barriers to adoption and use of evidence-based practices, and the development and implementation of solutions for increasing use of research-based practices.
- Translation of research findings into intervention principles and guidelines, methods and strategies, and practice guides for promoting adoption and use of evidence-based early childhood intervention and family support practices.
- The conduct of training studies evaluating the effectiveness of different methods and strategies for promoting use of evidence-based practices.
