CASE Research
CASE research is guided by an integrated framework for investigating evidence-based practices. The focus of activity in each practice component is the operationalization of concepts, constructs, and indicators constituting the focus of study, and the systematic investigation of the relationships among variables with an emphasis on better understanding of how intervention processes operate to produce desired outcomes.
Two kinds of research-related activities constitute the focus of CASE:
- The empirical study of the characteristics and consequences of early childhood and family support practices. This research emphasizes an understanding of the intervention and other environmental variables associated with variations in behavioral and developmental outcomes.
- The empirical study of methods and strategies for promoting adoption and use of evidence-based practices. This research focuses on an understanding of the strategies and procedures best suited for promoting adoption and use of evidence-based practices.
